Tour Description

SEPTEMBER 2026 – OPEN FOR BOOKINGS – ENQUIRE TODAY

Week 3 of the 2026 Vuelta a España (Tour of Spain) will see our tour start and finish in Malaga on the vibrant Costa del Sol. The tour will immediately move into the nearby Grazalema National Park which is home to a number of classic climbs (Palomas and Boyar to name a couple). Get ready for the Vuelta Stage 19 summit finish on the ‘Peñas Blancas’ climb. The views on a clear day look directly across to Africa! After testing yourself on ‘La Cabra’ climb, which rises straight off the Costa Tropical, the cycling will head into Granada. Granada sits immediately below the towering Sierra Nevada mountains. With the 2026 Vuelta race edition finishing in Granada you will find yourself in the middle of all the action!

Two 3-night bases in Grazalema & Granada is a highlight of this Vuelta cycling tour!

On this tour you will see La Vuelta live on four occasions: Stage 18 at the Individual Time Trial in Jerez de la Frontera, Stage 19 on the Peñas Blancas summit, Stage 20 in the Sierra Nevada mountains and the Stage 21 finish in central Granada. What a week of cycling watching Spain’s premiere road cycling race!

Client Reviews (La Vuelta)

Julie (Esperance, WA, Australia)

Can’t recommend the tour highly enough! Fabulous cycling, fabulous scenery, fabulous food, fabulous racing.

David (Melbourne, VIC, Australia)

I did my first serious cycling tour with Sierra in Spain and the experience was fantastic – great scenery and cycle routes that went to places off the beaten track to see the real Spain as well as riding through iconic towns full of culture and history, and we got up close to La Vuelta on the final 5 days for some memorable experiences. The organization was first rate – the van and cycling support, the accommodation, food and wine, and the overall thought that went into making the week not just a cycling event but a great tourist experience. The cycling experience and knowledge of our tour hosts, Paul and Andrea, was my other highlight helping me to learn much more about cycling and myself.
